Jim, Daniela and Savana live at Montrose, Colorado. In 1999 Jim observed that one of his paddocks did not recover properly following a heavy grazing the autumn (fall) before. This lead to some serious searching for answers, and the uncovering of new research data that showed that productivity of plants displaying an inocuous looking autumn shoot was seriously effected the following year, if the shoot was removed.
